Key Responsibilities:
  • Recognize, evaluate, and control hazardous workplace conditions.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors.
  • Work with subject matter experts to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company EHS requirements.
  • Execute initiatives, programs, reports, and trainings across multiple EH&S disciplines to achieve and maintain compliance.
  • Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Investigate, analyze, and interpret data from injuries and near-misses to ensure corrective actions are completed on time and all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Interact with employees and promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform, and be known as a resource to the employees at the site.
  • Identify, monitor, control, and document all hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, including schedules of hazardous waste shipments and manifests.
  • Monitor and report EH&S metrics to determine the effectiveness of daily operations.
What You Will Learn:
  • Provide expert technical guidance to senior leadership to ensure effective implementation of EH&S Management System requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of EH&S metrics, providing insights into performance and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior EH&S experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in Safety and environmental regulations/programs.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Experience developing and implementing environmental programs or campaigns.
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
  • Manufacturing environment experience.
