The repairs you will be trained to perform include:

  • Mechanical systems
  • Refrigeration units
  • Electrical systems, primarily electromechanical

This is a full-time position requiring rotational on-call service, which may involve occasional weekend and holiday work. While most work is conducted in the greater Pittsburgh area, some travel may be necessary.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving — Utilize your experience and technical support to resolve unfamiliar issues.
  • Effective Written Communication — Document detailed service reports and communicate efficiently with the office.
  • Computer Proficiency — Competence in using computers and mobile devices. A proprietary web-based system is used for dispatching and record-keeping.
  • Professionalism — Arrive on time and maintain a presentable appearance. Our technicians represent our company.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills — Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals, including facility managers, administrators, and medical professionals, especially in challenging situations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a hands-on technical role.
  • While refrigeration experience is not mandatory, the role will involve servicing compressors in refrigeration units. Candidates will be expected to obtain an EPA 608 Universal Technician Certification through on-the-job training and study.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Access to a vehicle in good working condition.
  • Physical capabilities related to field repair, including lifting and bending.
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and background check administered by Quality Repair Services.
  • A professional demeanor with a neat and tidy appearance.
