NALHD is a leading organization in Nebraska, dedicated to strengthening and modernizing local public health systems. We are currently seeking a talented Public Health Data Analyst to join our team.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and analyzing program and organizational data to support NALHD's mission. This individual will work closely with our leadership team to enhance decision-making and performance tracking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become a data detective: Identify, gather, organize, clean, manage, and synthesize data related to NALHD.
  • Develop and manage data collection strategies to inform program decisions.
  • Assist with implementing focus groups, key informant interviews, and other data collection methods.
  • Identify and synthesize secondary data sources, including census data, vital statistics, health-related survey and surveillance data, and hospital/health insurance claims data.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with privacy standards.
  • Utilize data collection, analysis, and reporting tools such as Qualtrics, mySidewalk, CANVA, and other systems utilized by NALHD.

Tell a Story with Data:

  • Support NALHD leadership and staff by contributing data expertise to proposals, reports, and communication assets.
  • Assist with making data assets health literate.
  • Work with the Senior Communications and Creative Specialist to create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate trends, outcomes, and key insights.

Guide Groups to Reach the Stars:

  • Provide technical support to NALHD staff and members for tools such as Qualtrics, LearnWorlds, and other systems utilized by NALHD.
  • Serve as an Excel expert, offering advanced technical support and guidance.
  • Support funding proposal development and reporting by integrating data insights and analysis.
  • Collaborate with NALHD leadership to coordinate and implement data collection strategies.

This is a full-time position, budgeted for 40 hours per week. The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
