Position Overview
The Digital Learning Librarian will collaborate with a dedicated library team to enhance educational experiences at a prominent institution focused on higher education.

The ideal candidate will embody creativity, innovation, and a commitment to student engagement, emphasizing both in-person and digital instructional methods.

This role will primarily concentrate on delivering information literacy training to first-year and transfer students, while also partnering with faculty and campus stakeholders to bolster the institution's focus on undergraduate research and career preparedness.


The Digital Learning Librarian will engage with fellow librarians to foster collaborations with faculty, developing and implementing services that align with the institution's educational, research, and learning objectives.

The successful candidate will be adept at providing instruction in various formats, including blended learning environments that combine online and face-to-face interactions.

Additionally, the Digital Learning Librarian will spearhead initiatives to transform library spaces into innovative and collaborative learning environments, integrating technology, Maker spaces, and team-based projects.

This role will involve reimagining library spaces and proposing initiatives to engage faculty, students, and community members, organizing library events, and promoting library services.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Library Information Science or a related field from an accredited institution, with a focus on information literacy and technology.
- Proficient in information literacy pedagogical strategies.
- Experience in utilizing technology and creativity to enhance information literacy instruction delivery.
- Familiarity with relevant library tools and discovery platforms.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse community of faculty, students, and staff.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of library resources, databases, and current best practices.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new library innovations.
- Proven ability to learn and apply new technologies and digital trends.
- Participation in library outreach and promotional activities.
- Experience or interest in educational technology planning and assessment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online meeting platforms.
- Familiarity with content management systems.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with project management tools.
- Familiarity with learning management systems.
- Knowledge of 3D printing, podcasts, and Maker spaces.
- Experience in grant writing and management.
- Background in academic library settings.
- Familiarity with common library technologies and research tools.
