Job Overview

Asterix Communications is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee construction operations aboard our designated vessel. The successful candidate will ensure effective interdisciplinary collaboration among vessel departments and maintain close communication with the Master regarding marine activities.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Drive the execution of projects to adhere to established timelines, optimize productivity, and minimize costs while complying with project specifications and QHSE standards.
  2. Safety Leadership: Uphold safety protocols by rigorously implementing HSE policies, leading by example, and fostering a culture of safety among the crew.
  3. Permit Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Permit-to-Work system for construction teams and facilitate daily Tool Box Talks and Job Safety Analysis as necessary.
  4. Work Scheduling: Manage work schedules through proactive planning, prioritizing tasks, and optimizing resources, while addressing any on-board challenges effectively.
  5. Subcontractor Oversight: Ensure subcontractors fulfill their contractual obligations and facilitate smooth interactions with the vessel organization.
  6. Mobilization Planning: Plan and manage the mobilization and demobilization of personnel and equipment efficiently, coordinating with relevant project teams.
  7. Client Liaison: Represent the Project Manager in discussions with Client Representatives regarding project matters, change management, and schedule adjustments.
  8. Communication Enhancement: Promote clear communication channels among all vessel departments and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Human Resource Development: Support the development of training processes for new resources and oversee competence assessments as required.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Drive the implementation of technical and organizational enhancements to minimize risks.
  11. Technical Support: Assist the Project Team in resolving technical and management challenges within assigned responsibilities.
  12. Emergency Preparedness: Collaborate with the Master in managing emergency situations effectively.
  13. Documentation Management: Ensure timely issuance, proper storage, and updating of all necessary documents, certifications, and reports as per contractual and procedural requirements.
