Job Overview

Asterix Communications is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the construction operations aboard our assigned vessel. The successful candidate will ensure seamless coordination among various vessel departments while collaborating closely with the Master for marine activities.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Drive the execution of projects to adhere to timelines, enhance productivity, and minimize costs, all while complying with project specifications and QHSE standards.
  2. Safety Leadership: Uphold a safe working environment by rigorously applying Saipem HSE policies and procedures. Lead by example to inspire the crew to observe HSE protocols through meetings and initiatives.
  3. Permit Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the Permit-to-Work system for construction teams and facilitate daily Tool Box Talks and Job Safety Analysis as necessary.
  4. Work Schedule Management: Implement proactive planning strategies to manage work schedules, prioritize tasks, and optimize resources, including materials and equipment.
  5. Subcontractor Oversight: Ensure subcontractors fulfill their contractual commitments and facilitate effective communication with the vessel organization.
  6. Mobilization Planning: Strategically plan and manage the mobilization and demobilization of personnel and equipment, maximizing synergies with other projects.
  7. Client Representation: Act as the representative of the Project Manager in discussions with the Client Representative regarding project matters, change management, and contractual implications.
  8. Communication Facilitation: Foster clear communication channels among all vessel departments and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Human Resource Development: Promote the development of human resource processes, including training and competence assessments for new personnel.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Implement ongoing technical and organizational enhancements to minimize risks.
  11. Technical Support: Assist the Project Team in addressing technical and management challenges within the defined scope.
  12. Emergency Assistance: Support the Master during emergency situations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  13. Documentation Management: Ensure timely issuance, proper storage, and updating of all required documents, certifications, and reports as per Saipem procedures.
