Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Employment Coach to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As an Employment Coach, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their career goals and secure employment in high-growth industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service Planning: Develop and oversee personalized Service Plans for clients, including community service and internship tasks, work readiness training, job preparation counseling, educational and vocational training referrals, and job placement.
  • Client Engagement: Regularly engage with assigned clients to track progress with Service Plans, aid in overcoming obstacles to employment, and provide support with housing, childcare, and transportation issues.
  • Case Management: Offer case management, coaching, and counseling on client pursuit activities and objectives, ensuring continued participation and documenting client services and activities.
  • Business Partnerships: Thoroughly understand the requirements of business clients concerning their available job positions and evaluate clients' skills and job readiness.
  • Candidate Screening: Screen clients for job opportunities and maintain a pool of suitable candidates per industry.
  • Job Placement: Work individually with clients to aid them in a successful job search, securing employment, and retaining it.
  • Community Outreach: Participate in job fairs, networking events, and informational sessions for recruitment.
  • Follow-up: Schedule follow-up meetings aligned with internship and community service opportunities.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, such as psychology or vocational/occupational rehabilitation, from an accredited institution, along with three years of case management experience or an equivalent combination of education and practice.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Medical Social Worker, or a Master's degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Must possess patience and empathy towards individuals with disabilities.
  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools like Word and Excel.
  • Experience in a dynamic, team-oriented environment driven by performance.
  • Outstanding customer service and engagement abilities; familiarity with motivational interviewing and care management techniques is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Experience with publicly-funded programs; prior exposure to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families programs is desirable.
  • Knowledge of legal statutes and regulatory obligations relevant to program duties.
  • Competent in utilizing various electronic systems to fulfill duties and responsibilities.
