Soccer Shots COUS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Coaching and Development. This is a full-time, exempt position that requires a minimum of 40 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities:- Coaching and Training: Oversee the coaching department in New York City Central and implement the company's high standard for coaching. Develop a team of high-performing coaches and ensure they complete the company's training process.
- Staff Leadership: Assist in the recruitment of coaches, interview process, onboarding, performance assessment, and development of coaches. Create a culture representative of Soccer Shots' Core Values within the team.
- Administration: Approve coaches' payroll and time-off requests, collaborate with the People Operations Department to ensure compliance, and manage equipment, gear, and supplies.
- Marketing: Run program demos, distribute registration forms and brochures, hang lobby and classroom posters, and promote public programs. Communicate with parents, directors, and other partners as needed.
- Sales and Growth: Provide leads in the territory served, optimize coaching resources to increase yield at partner sites, and represent Soccer Shots at industry events.
- Prompt, reliable, and professional communication with customers, supervisors, and other Soccer Shots support staff.
- Meet weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines, and develop systems to stay organized and efficient.
- Meet seasonal performance goals and provide excellent customer service through newsletters and phone calls/visits with center directors.
- Adhere to all company policies and represent Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity.
- Hire, train, and manage a staff of coaches who uphold a standard of excellence and create a positive reputation for Soccer Shots.
Performance will be reviewed after the first 60 days of employment, quarterly through a meeting with the supervisor, and annually in June and December of each calendar year.
