We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to enhance our Community Development Department. This role involves working on a variety of site projects across northern New England.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Civil Engineer will:
- Lead site and civil engineering projects from initial design through to permitting.
- Conduct detailed site design, including layout, grading, utilities, and erosion & sediment control.
- Design stormwater drainage systems and perform civil engineering for municipal and institutional projects.
- Utilize hydraulic and hydrologic modeling for the design of culverts, dams, and bridge repairs.
- Mentor project staff to foster professional growth and development.
- Support business development efforts related to site development and municipal engineering.
- Oversee proposal development and maintain strong client communications and relationships.
- Ensure all projects meet our rigorous quality assurance and quality control standards.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or civil and environmental engineering.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience (10+ years preferred).
- A valid PE license.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; experience with HydroCAD is a plus.
- Familiarity with GIS, HEC-RAS, and/or OpenRoads modeling.
- Experience in soil evaluation for wastewater and stormwater management.
