We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our team at Atlas, a leading provider of civil engineering, materials testing, and geotechnical consulting services. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients and employees by conducting industrial hygiene and building science assessments, surveys, and investigations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Industrial Hygiene and Building Science Assessments: Support senior industrial hygienists and practice team managers in conducting complex building science and industrial hygiene assessments, including sampling and data collection.
- Analyze Data and Prepare Reports: Analyze data from previous assessments to determine if additional sampling is required, and prepare comprehensive reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Develop and Implement Safety Protocols: Assist in developing and implementing safety protocols, including administrative controls and personal protective equipment requirements, to minimize workplace hazards.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with industrial hygienists, practice team managers, and technicians to advise on less complex workplace incidents or complaints related to health hazards.
- Stay Current with Regulatory Requirements: Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to industrial hygiene and building science services.
- 7+ Years of Experience: Minimum 7 years of technically sound consulting experience conducting and managing industrial hygiene and building science projects.
- Strong Technical Skills: Strong technical writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft software and applications, and knowledge of industrial hygiene and building science sampling equipment and protocols.
- Education and Certifications: Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or certificate in a related science field, and professional certification in asbestos, lead, or mold.
- Physical Demands: Ability to climb stairs/ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and wear personal protective equipment as needed.
