Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Geotechnical Project Supervisor to lead and manage our geotechnical construction initiatives. This role is vital in ensuring that all phases of geotechnical operations, including soil stabilization, foundation work, and ground enhancement, are carried out safely, effectively, and in line with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of geotechnical construction projects from start to finish.
  • Create project timelines and allocate resources efficiently to achieve project goals.
  • Track project development and modify plans as needed to ensure targets are met.
Leadership and Guidance:
  • Direct and mentor construction teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Offer support and direction to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project standards.
  • Conduct frequent site evaluations and inspections to ensure quality of work and adherence to specifications.
Quality Assurance:
  • Establish quality control protocols to guarantee that geotechnical work aligns with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Perform inspections and testing as necessary to confirm compliance with design and regulatory standards.
  • Address any quality concerns swiftly and implement corrective measures as required.
Safety Oversight:
  • Foster and enforce a safety-first culture on-site, in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Lead safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Implement proactive strategies to reduce risks and maintain a secure working environment.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, milestones, and challenges.
  • Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Supervisor in geotechnical or civil construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of geotechnical construction techniques, soil stabilization methods, and foundation systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geotechnical assessments.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in geotechnical engineering or construction management are beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to perform physical tasks on construction sites, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Endurance to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
