Job Overview

SVSB is looking for dedicated full-time and part-time Teacher Assistants for our Early Childhood Education Center. With a rich history of providing quality childcare, we pride ourselves on creating a safe, nurturing environment for children from infancy through preschool.

Key Responsibilities:


• Support daily activities including lunch and nap routines.

• Assist with children's toileting needs and changing diapers or clothing as required.

• Provide assistance in the kitchen when necessary.

• Undertake additional tasks as directed by teachers and administration.

Qualifications:


• Enrollment in Early Childhood Education coursework is highly preferred, with a commitment to obtaining an Early Childhood Education Teacher degree.

• A minimum of 6 months experience in a classroom or educational setting is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to engage with clients at all levels.

• Proficient writing and speaking abilities.

• Alignment with the mission and values of SVSB is crucial.

• Must demonstrate reliability and initiative in fulfilling job responsibilities.

Requirements:


• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.

• A genuine interest in early childhood education.

• Availability to work consistently between 20 to 40 hours per week.

• Certification in Adult/Child/Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED is preferred.

• Must pass a pre-employment negative TB test and criminal background check. Up-to-date childhood vaccinations with certification are also required.

Compensation and Benefits:


• Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $20.00, depending on experience.
