Work Location and Hours

Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, including the management of accounting records, preparation of financial statements, and payroll administration. This role reports directly to the Executive Director and ensures adherence to accounting standards and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and current financial records.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports regularly.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and fixed asset records.
  • Oversee payroll processing and accounts payable functions.
  • Manage tax return submissions for excise, payroll, and personal property taxes.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to formulate annual budgets.
  • Conduct financial analyses to identify trends and provide insights.
  • Ensure compliance with Income-Tax based accounting standards.
  • Assist with financial audits as necessary.
  • Address payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Ensure adherence to payroll laws and regulations.
  • Provide financial training and support to department leaders and physicians.
  • Maintain positive relationships with external accounting firms and financial institutions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll management.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
  • Strong understanding of Income-Tax Based Accounting and payroll regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
