The role involves supporting the Development Director in various fundraising, marketing, and administrative functions. This position collaborates with the Development & Marketing team to execute grant applications and fundraising strategies that enhance the organization's sustainability and impact.
- Support the Development Director in promoting Community Hope and its initiatives, which includes crafting and executing marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and social media outreach, such as E-blasts and posts on platforms like Facebook.
- Oversee all media and social media communications for Community Hope, ensuring regular updates on social media, the agency's website, and printed materials.
- Assist in organizing special events and carry out additional responsibilities as needed, including managing registrant lists, event publications, and promotional activities.
- Coordinate the Annual Flag Day 5K and Fun Walk, which involves securing sponsorships, promoting the event to participants and donors, managing registrations, and overseeing day-of-event logistics.
- Administer fundraising pages for special events, including runs, marathons, galas, and silent auctions.
- Contribute to all fundraising appeals, which includes drafting letters, managing mass mailings or email campaigns, tracking donations, and sending acknowledgment letters.
- Maintain an accurate donor database and files, ensuring all information is current and properly documented, while generating acknowledgment letters for contributions.
- Manage online donation platforms, including creating forms, processing donations, and providing financial summaries to the Finance Department.
- Prepare reports on events and fundraising activities for the Development Director as required.
- Assist the Grants Officer in the preparation of grant proposals and reports as needed.
- Build and nurture relationships with corporate donors and stakeholders.
- Engage in special projects and take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Development Director or Executive Director.
- Utilize strong customer service skills to foster positive interactions with funders, contributors, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated fundraising experience.
- Familiarity with Raisers Edge or similar fundraising software.
- Proficient in MS Office, with excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude that excels in a dynamic and complex work environment.
