Job Summary:

The IT Systems Administrator I is a key position at Alamo Group, responsible for supporting and contributing to the company's goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. This role involves managing, maintaining, and supporting all hardware, software, and network installation components of the Company Information System (CIS) structure.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain all hardware, software, and network installation components of the CIS structure

Troubleshoot and resolve end-user problems, providing training as necessary

Implement and assist in developing data security and disaster recovery plans

Monitor network performance and take corrective actions against present system deficiencies and network recommended future enhancements

Schedule and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations of all systems, adhering to company policy

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer/Management Information Systems

3+ years of previous experience in computer hardware and network systems support

Knowledge of all CIS hardware/software programs, including Microsoft Operating systems, equipment, and configurations for company networks, operating, and communications systems

Good communication, logic, and problem-solving skills

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to organize and prioritize work

Knowledge and proficiency in at least two programming languages, with 'C' or Visual Basic being one of them
