Job Summary:

This position is with the Department of Defense Education Activity, Americas Southeast District, in a leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering student and/or staff reports for school administration through an automated system. Additionally, they will serve as the official records manager for the school, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to present briefings to management officials and/or staff to support understanding. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing facility programs, advising employees on work and administrative matters, and maintaining accurate records. The position also involves coordinating budget execution and drafting interpretation of budgetary guidance for staff. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of administration and management principles, financial management, human resources management, and planning and evaluating research. The position requires a minimum of one year of specialized experience or a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a field such as Public Administration or Business Administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer student and/or staff reports for school administration through an automated system.
Serve as official records manager for the school.
Manage facility programs to ensure compliance to regulatory guidance.
Present specific briefings to management officials and/or staff to support understanding.
Consult with senior expert authorities on issues to implement recommendations.
Maintain forms, process and/or other appropriate documentation.
Coordinate budget execution for presentation.
Draft interpretation of budgetary guidance for staff.
Maintain the student information management database for all students.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of administration and management principles, financial management, human resources management, and planning and evaluating research. The position requires a minimum of one year of specialized experience or a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a field such as Public Administration or Business Administration.

Education:

Applicants who are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
