Job Summary

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of laboratory test results. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of TJC requirements, and the ability to lead process improvements and audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical duties, including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, as well as other Laboratory Services staff, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance laboratory efficiency and quality.
  • Lead audits and ensure compliance with TJC requirements and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
  • Extensive experience with TJC requirements and rules.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead process improvements and audits.
Preferred Skills
  • Problem resolution.
  • Clinical laboratory experience.
  • Outpatient experience.
  • Maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
