Job Summary

Stamford Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing and reporting laboratory tests in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and report results with accurate documentation in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Validate test results in the Laboratory Information System to ensure accurate reports for physician review.
  • Perform quality control for all testing and ensure results meet established criteria before releasing test results.
  • Recognize factors that may affect measurements and results, and take appropriate action.
  • Prepare samples appropriately for testing and maintain glassware and other materials necessary for clinical laboratory tests.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related scientific field.
  • ASCP registry or equivalent registry (AMT, NCA or CLS).
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of laboratory science and minimal computer skills.
