Key Responsibilities:

MV Transportation is looking for a

Dispatcher

to oversee daily route operations and report directly to the Dispatch Supervisors. This role involves adhering to the procedures established by the client while conforming to company policies. The Dispatcher will engage in daily communication with drivers and clients, ensuring that all activities are organized to maintain safe, cost-effective, and timely service delivery.

Responsibilities include tracking and reporting sign-in/sign-out times, ensuring routes are on schedule, and addressing service issues with Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as necessary.

Compensation: Competitive pay at $20.00/hour

Job Duties:

- Handle client inquiries and relay issues to drivers and Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as needed.
- Monitor radio communications, telephones, and on-road service quality.
- Foster positive employee morale and uphold high standards of customer service.
- Oversee daily driver sign-in and sign-out processes.
- Assign trips to drivers to ensure equitable distribution of assignments across all routes.
- Evaluate daily system performance.
- Participate in the analysis and review of operational performance.
- Document any closed or delayed routes and communicate these to Dispatch Supervisors and/or Dispatch Managers as appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:
- A minimum of one (1) year of prior experience as a Dispatcher is preferred.
- At least two (2) years of experience in Customer Service is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Trapeze software is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
- Professional phone etiquette is essential.
- Knowledge of the service area is a plus.
