Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Patient Scheduling: Work with center leadership to maximize daily patient census and ensure efficient scheduling of appointments.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet patients and visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to patient communication needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts, including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
- Verify Insurance Information: Obtain and verify patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for services.
- Collect and Enter Patient Charges: Collect and enter patient charges in databases, and reconcile charges as directed.
- Coordinate Ancillary Testing: Schedule and coordinate ancillary testing with other hospital departments as needed.
- Arrange Patient Transportation: Arrange for patient transportation as needed.
- Maintain Office Equipment and Supplies: Maintain office equipment and supplies, including medical supplies as directed.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED); Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of Two (2) or more years of office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting; prior medical coding experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent Communication Skills: Good customer, interpersonal, and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Organization and Time-Management Skills: Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
This is a patient care environment, and the ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity while providing excellent customer service.
