Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Healogics. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient wound care centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Patient Scheduling: Work with center leadership to maximize daily patient census and ensure efficient scheduling of appointments.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet patients and visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to patient communication needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts, including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
  • Verify Insurance Information: Obtain and verify patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for services.
  • Collect and Enter Patient Charges: Collect and enter patient charges in databases, and reconcile charges as directed.
  • Coordinate Ancillary Testing: Schedule and coordinate ancillary testing with other hospital departments as needed.
  • Arrange Patient Transportation: Arrange for patient transportation as needed.
  • Maintain Office Equipment and Supplies: Maintain office equipment and supplies, including medical supplies as directed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED); Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of Two (2) or more years of office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting; prior medical coding experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Good customer, interpersonal, and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Organization and Time-Management Skills: Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
