Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Analyst to join our team in the Division of Medical Education at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and developing policies related to the clinical curriculum, as well as coordinating and managing the visiting student program for rotating medical students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and develop policies related to the clinical curriculum, including the Principles to Practice course for fourth-year medical students.
  • Coordinate and manage the visiting student program, including overseeing application processes, managing student placements, and liaising with departments to ensure a smooth experience for visiting students.
  • Provide support to students and faculty, ensuring the course runs smoothly and meets educational goals.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement policies and procedures related to the clinical curriculum.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Four years of related experience, education/training, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific computer application programs.
  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Ability to analyze, research, and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
Working Conditions

This position may require occasional evenings and weekends. Employment is subject to a criminal background check.

Compensation

The annual full pay range for this position is $58,600 - $100,800, with an hourly equivalent of $48.28. The hiring pay scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
