Position Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Chef de Cuisine to take the helm of our vibrant kitchen at One Haus - San Francisco. With a rich history of 30 years, our establishment has been a cornerstone of the Bay Area dining scene, recently revitalized to offer an extraordinary culinary experience. The Chef de Cuisine will play a pivotal role in shaping our menu and leading a passionate team dedicated to delivering authentic and memorable dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the culinary team, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Enhance guest experience through continuous improvement in service and operational efficiency.
  • Guarantee that all food items are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards.
  • Design and develop innovative à la carte and banquet menus, highlighting seasonal ingredients.
  • Oversee the expediting of service, ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with necessary ingredients.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and manage invoices effectively.
  • Drive the achievement of company objectives related to sales, food costs, and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment and workspaces through regular inspections.
  • Manage staffing levels based on anticipated business needs, optimizing labor costs.
  • Participate in all required meetings and adhere to health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in a fine dining environment.
  • At least 3-4 years in a senior chef role within a similar establishment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant POS systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and impeccable service standards.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of a second language is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 per year.
