Job Overview:

The Oncology Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales goals and market share targets in their assigned territory through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of key customer relationships, while adhering to all regulatory and promotional guidelines.

This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers, including oncologists, hematologists, oncology fellows, oncology nurses, pharmacists, and other relevant professionals.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate technical, therapeutic, and product information to customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Effectively communicating with customers to promote the appropriate use of approved products within the territory.
  • Utilizing effective selling techniques and marketing strategies to create and expand demand for promoted brands.
  • Developing and coordinating physician advocates for promoted oncology products.
  • Arranging and coordinating promotional programs within all promotional and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conducting field activities, including lunch-and-learns, customer in-services, and attending tumor boards.
  • Working as a resource for various oncology organizations, teaching institutions, and other relevant professionals.
  • Communicating regularly with the Regional Sales Director, peers, account managers, internal and external partners, and clients to optimize resources and exceed customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful sales results, a strong understanding of the oncology market, and the ability to meet or exceed sales objectives.

Additionally, the candidate should have excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce/Veeva, and be willing to travel within the territory as needed.
