Overview

Porter Novelli, a global purpose communication consultancy, is expanding its healthcare practice. As an Account Executive, you will join a dynamic team and work on a leading global pharmaceutical client’s oncology business. The role offers a clear path for career growth in an interesting blend of product, corporate, advocacy, and issues management.

The Role

You will plan and execute client programs under the guidance of an Account Supervisor or higher-level supervisor. Key responsibilities include developing and editing written materials, leading media relations efforts, assessing media trends, and managing event execution. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to making a difference in healthcare PR, with experience in the consumer/pharma healthcare space and a good foundation of client relationship skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute client programs under the guidance of an Account Supervisor or higher-level supervisor.
  • Develop and edit written materials, including press releases, fact sheets, and general client correspondence.
  • Lead media relations efforts, including media list development, creative pitch ideation, outreach, and relationship building.
  • Assess media trends and identify opportunities that amplify client priorities.
  • Manage all aspects of event execution, including media relations efforts, vendor coordination, and staffing.
  • Generate ideas for programs that map to client objectives and conduct relevant research.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of PR/communications experience, with PR agency experience advantageous.
  • Traditional PR experiences coupled with proficiency in social media.
  • Balanced and organized workstyle, allowing for equal success in driving work independently or collaborating within the team.
  • Confident style in communicating and engaging with clients, with a solution-oriented approach to work, writing, content development, presenting, digital, and social skills.
