About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Operations Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our financial services department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Complete and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including bookkeeping processes, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation for dedicated clients.
  • Team Management: Review monthly bookkeeping & financial statements from team members and coach them for learning and development.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate and collaborate with other departments, including tax and audit, to facilitate timely and accurate reporting.
  • Financial Advisory Services: Provide fractional CFO/Controller services as needed, including monthly and/or quarterly financial advisory meetings with clients.
  • Financial Analysis and Planning: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Special Projects: Support senior management in special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Software Proficiency: Comfortable using and learning software applications for client needs.
  • Industry Engagement: Participate in industry segment meetings and marketing.
  • Team Development: Mentor and implement training for CAS Team.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monthly meeting with direct reports to review billable budget vs. actual, realization, and goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations; proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks Online preferred.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity: Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to change and willingness to embrace new technologies and methodologies.
