About the Position:

PBS Facility Services is in search of a Financial Resource Analyst to enhance our finance department. This role is crucial in managing and maximizing the organization’s financial assets to ensure the provision of outstanding facility services. You will oversee budget formulation, financial monitoring, and analytical assessments, playing a key role in the financial vitality and success of the company. This position reports directly to the Controller and is essential for upholding the financial integrity and service excellence of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Budget Formulation:
  • Engage with department leaders and executives to create and refine the yearly budget, considering historical data, market dynamics, and organizational objectives.
  • Generate detailed budget reports that present income, expenditures, and critical financial indicators.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various financial systems and facilitate transitions between platforms, such as Zoho and QuickBooks.
Expense Evaluation:
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of organizational expenses, pinpointing areas for cost management and optimization while ensuring service quality remains intact.
  • Offer recommendations for cost-reduction strategies and efficiency enhancements.
Revenue Forecasting:
  • Analyze revenue sources and develop projections based on current contracts, potential new business avenues, and market conditions.
  • Track revenue performance and adjust forecasts as necessary.
Budget Oversight:
  • Continuously monitor and assess actual financial outcomes against the budget, identifying variances and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to tackle budgetary issues and implement corrective measures.
Financial Reporting:
  • Compile and present regular financial reports to senior management, emphasizing key financial metrics, trends, and areas needing attention.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to inform financial decisions and strategies.
Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Contribute to long-term financial strategies by offering insights into the organization’s financial health and objectives.
  • Engage in strategic discussions and assist in formulating financial strategies that align with the organization’s vision.
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential financial risks facing the organization and devise strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Stay updated on industry and regulatory changes that may influence financial planning.
Compliance Assurance:
  • Ensure that all financial practices and budgeting procedures adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Remain informed about changes in financial regulations that could impact the organization’s operations.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline; CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Budget Analyst or in a comparable financial role, ideally within a service-oriented sector.
  • Strong grasp of financial analysis, budget formulation, and forecasting techniques.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel and financial modeling applications.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to articulate complex financial data.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team environment and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance.
