Position Overview: The Technical Support Analyst works closely with various business units to ensure that hardware and software requisitions are processed, set up, scheduled, and deployed in accordance with established guidelines. This role encompasses the identification and labeling of equipment, confirming and documenting device specifications, and collaborating with service teams to facilitate the movement of equipment as necessary. The analyst is responsible for providing on-site installation, customer assistance, technical support, and repair services based on departmental or individual requests. Furthermore, this position requires acting as a technical liaison in the field, aiding in user training, and managing inventory in partnership with other IT Infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, configure, schedule, and deploy hardware and software requisitions.
  • Label equipment in accordance with company standards.
  • Research, confirm, and document device specifications based on purchase orders and established criteria.
  • Coordinate the relocation of equipment in collaboration with service and business units.
  • Deliver on-site installation, customer assistance, and technical support for installation and repair inquiries.
  • Serve as a liaison with other support services such as Help Desk, Applications, and Materials Management.
  • Facilitate user training and clarify basic concepts and procedures to a diverse clientele.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment essential for installations or repairs.
  • Oversee parts inventory in collaboration with other IT Infrastructure sectors.
  • Assess and process equipment in accordance with IT Security policies and protocols.
  • Engage in overtime and on-call responsibilities as required.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma and 2 years of professional customer service experience in supporting PC, Macintosh, desktop computing hardware, and peripheral devices. Skills must include knowledge of operating systems and configuration, hardware setup, and software installation. OR
  • Associate's degree OR
  • Two years of technical training in Computers, Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.

  • Exceptional customer service skills with the capability to train and assist end-users.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with business units and service departments.
