Job Overview
Delivers first-level technical assistance to staff, addressing fundamental computer, application, system, device, access, or performance challenges throughout the organization. Guides users on the procedures and actions necessary to resolve technology-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Responds to initial support requests by diagnosing and addressing basic incidents, problems, and inquiries.
- Evaluates system diagnostics to determine functionality and efficiency.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures to safeguard organizational data and information.
- Monitors security certificates and compliance with company standards.
- Installs and updates organizational software and hardware.
- Tracks expenses related to the replacement or upgrading of computer hardware and/or software.
- Provides after-hours on-call support as needed.
- Engages in quality assurance and user acceptance testing, offering training to users based on new and updated functionalities.
Work Environment
- Work is conducted in a comfortable indoor setting with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
- Most time is spent seated comfortably, with opportunities for movement. Occasionally, there may be a need to lift light items.
- Typically requires minimal overnight travel.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED is strongly preferred. Specialized skills training or certification may be necessary. Generally, 2-5 years of relevant experience is expected.
