This position is dedicated to offering immediate assistance and facilitating connections to further resources as part of a collaborative team effort. The role involves regular interaction with clients, security staff, and various service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and support homeless individuals, delivering urgent assistance while fostering trust and rapport.
  • Serve as the initial contact for clients and community members, ensuring a welcoming and approachable demeanor.
  • Engage in outreach initiatives and contribute to the planning of community room policies.
  • Oversee the operations of the Day/Outreach Program, ensuring the effective delivery of services.
  • Conduct informal assessments to evaluate the needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with shelter personnel to provide educational classes and activities for clients.
  • Design and execute Day Programming for clients with the support of coordinators.
  • Facilitate intake processes for clients entering the program and coordinate housing efforts.
  • Work in partnership with Case Managers to empower clients with the skills necessary to overcome homelessness.
  • Deliver direct support to clients while maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in human services or have equivalent experience, along with a background in working with homeless populations. A compassionate approach and patience for individuals in need are essential. Proficiency in Spanish, a valid driver's license, and car insurance are mandatory.
