About the Role
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in rates sales or a related field, with a strong understanding of government bonds, interest rate derivatives, and commercial paper. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will be results-driven, with a strong sense of accountability and a proven track record of success in driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
• Sell rates products to institutional investor clients
• Manage client relationships and execute trades
• Follow news, economic data, and market narratives to benefit traders and clients
• Promote and discuss fixed income strategy and other MUFG research with clients
• Price, model, and execute interest rate derivatives with various trading desks
• Discuss views and risk positions of trading desks and distribute axes
• Work closely with other teams to cross-sell products and promote cross-selling across the firm
• Back up colleagues and work together as a team
• Work with support staff as needed
• On-board clients in coordination with credit, legal, compliance, and operations teams
• Mentor and develop junior salespeople

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in rates sales or a related field
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CFA a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Results-driven, with a strong sense of accountability
• Strong decision-making skills and sound judgment
• Pro-active, motivated approach
• Ability to operate with urgency and prioritize work
• Creative and innovative approach to work
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
