Assistant Property Manager Job Summary:

The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Property Manager in achieving property financial and operational goals. This position requires a strong team player who can work collaboratively with the property management team to minimize expenditures, maximize revenues, and adhere to budgeted cost parameters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Works with the property management team to ensure all rent is collected when due and is posted correctly in Yardi.
  • Manages the preparation of all resident correspondence, including late payment notices.
  • Produces monthly resident delinquency reports and property accruals.
  • Schedules site visits regularly and ensures all move-in/move-out paperwork is completed correctly and approved by the property manager.
  • Ensures all apartments, move-in, move-out, and other leasing data is entered correctly and in a timely manner in Yardi.
  • Works with the management team to administer the renewal program and maximize resident renewals.
  • Assists the Property Manager with hiring, training, and developing on-site employees according to company policy and procedure.
  • Works with the Property Manager to develop an effective, proactive team that works together to achieve property objectives.
  • Inspects suites, common areas, and property to ensure adherence to property standards.
  • Works with the Property Manager to ensure adherence to company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of sales experience in a retail, hospitality, or multi-family housing environment.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Prior training in Fair Housing regulations preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.
  • Strong attention to follow-up techniques required.
  • Must possess strong listening skills.
  • Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be extremely responsive, courteous, reliable, energetic, and upbeat.
  • Must be capable of embracing growth and change.
