The primary role of this position is to spearhead and enhance Quality systems at AEM, aligning with business goals and driving continuous operational improvements. You will play a pivotal role in refining organizational processes, products, and personnel.

This role reports directly to the Director of Quality Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management Systems
  • Design, implement, and oversee quality management systems throughout AEM.
  • Administer, assess, and enhance quality management systems.
  • Establish and maintain systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to senior management regarding the status of quality systems, processes, and training initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
Management of Quality Personnel
  • Encourage strong individual and team performance while actively supporting employee development.
  • Identify departmental resource needs and recruit accordingly.
  • Conduct recruitment activities, including interviews and onboarding for new Quality staff.
  • Oversee employee scheduling.
  • Train team members on new or revised quality assurance policies and procedures.
Compliance Oversight
  • Lead initiatives to secure and maintain quality certifications and accreditations.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Plan, execute, and manage both internal and external audits.
  • Prepare for and coordinate third-party audits and certifications.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, trends, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement efforts.
Enhancing Customer Satisfaction
  • Act as a liaison and advocate for customers.
  • Manage systems to track customer quality issues and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Investigate and address quality concerns, non-conformities, and customer complaints promptly.
  • Develop customer quality improvement plans and associated metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading quality assurance in a manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality improvement principles and ISO standards compliance.
  • Strong team leadership and communication abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills with the capacity to assess quality issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools such as Pareto and Control Charts, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, FMEA, 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa diagrams.
  • A critical and objective perspective to identify opportunities for enhancing departmental processes and procedures for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Additional Information:
  • This is a hybrid role, allowing for both onsite and remote work.
  • A valid passport is required for international travel.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship is necessary.

Compensation: The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $110,000 per year. This range is a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as the scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and other market considerations.
