Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector II is responsible for conducting process audits, supporting Quality Management System (QMS) projects, and ensuring that our products adhere to stringent quality and safety standards. This role may involve focusing on specific process areas within our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate adherence to established procedures and standards through comprehensive process audits, generating formal reports, and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assess the effectiveness of final visual inspections through thorough audits of parts and finished products.
  • Collaborate with team members to devise strategies aimed at enhancing product quality.
  • Provide support for QMS projects.
  • Assist in the plant-wide calibration program, which includes preparing gauges and instruments for calibration, evaluating calibration results for out-of-tolerance conditions, and maintaining calibration records.
  • Support ambient monitoring activities within cleanroom environments.
  • Engage in quality sustaining activities.
  • Complete assigned action items related to audit findings.
  • Validate corrective actions implemented to address audit findings.
  • Input and track data from Certificates of Analysis for procured chemicals.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply production instructions and standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and database management software.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Educational and Certification Requirements:

  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent certification.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a production environment, with cleanroom experience being advantageous.

Work Environment:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
  • Work primarily takes place in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 15 pounds constantly to move objects.
  • Manual dexterity to move arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Visual acuity is required to perform assigned tasks.

Environmental Considerations:

  • Personal protective equipment is mandatory.
  • Exposure to hazards such as electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and debris is possible.
  • Visual acuity is necessary for task performance.

Travel Requirements:

  • No overnight travel is anticipated.
