Receptionist for Healthcare Facility

Position Title: Receptionist (Part-Time, 29-32 Hours Weekly)

Job Overview:
NHC HealthCare Garden City is seeking a dedicated and personable Part-Time Receptionist to enhance our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for making a positive first impression on our visitors, demonstrating professionalism, and delivering exceptional customer service while managing multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist visitors in a friendly manner.
- Answer phone calls with clarity and professionalism, directing calls as necessary and taking messages when appropriate.
- Prepare correspondence as directed by management, including meeting minutes and newsletters.
- Organize and complete admission packages for new patients.
- Handle financial transactions for the General Account and Patient Trust Fund, maintaining accurate records.
- Manage the sale of meal tickets, ensuring proper accounting of all transactions.
- Process petty cash disbursements and maintain detailed records of each transaction.
- File documents and manage incoming mail as directed.
- Distribute paychecks in a secure manner.
- Assist with employee insurance claims and incident reports under supervision.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while performing other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a receptionist role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute with accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Proficient in Standard English.
