NHC HealthCare Garden City is seeking a motivated and personable individual to fill the role of Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our visitors and will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist visitors in a friendly manner.
- Answer phone calls with clarity and professionalism, directing calls as necessary.
- Document and relay messages accurately.
- Prepare and type correspondence as directed by management.
- Organize and complete admission packages for new patients.
- Manage financial transactions, including receipt of payments and sales of meal tickets.
- Maintain accurate records of petty cash disbursements.
- File and organize various documents and correspondence.
- Sort and date incoming mail as per administrative guidelines.
- Assist with employee-related documentation, including insurance claims and incident reports.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while performing other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute with accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Proficiency in Standard English.
Work Schedule:
Weekdays, consisting of four 8-hour shifts with alternating days off.
