Position Title: Front Desk Receptionist (Part-Time, 29-32 Hours weekly)

Job Overview:

NHC HealthCare Garden City is seeking a motivated and personable Part-Time Receptionist to enhance our administrative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and providing exceptional customer service while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome and assist visitors with a friendly demeanor.
  2. Answer incoming calls clearly and professionally, directing them as necessary.
  3. Handle correspondence and documentation as directed by management.
  4. Prepare and organize admission packages for new patients.
  5. Manage financial transactions, including receipts for accounts and meal ticket sales.
  6. Maintain accurate records of petty cash disbursements.
  7. Sort and process mail as per administrative guidelines.
  8. Assist with employee-related documentation, including insurance claims and incident reports.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures while performing additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a receptionist role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to type at least 45 words per minute with accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Proficiency in Standard English.

Work Schedule:

Weekdays, consisting of four 8-hour shifts with alternating days off.
