Job Title: Registered Nurse II

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team at the Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute. As a Registered Nurse II, you will play a critical role in providing advanced nursing care for patients with psychiatric disorders.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse II will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, and developing individualized care plans. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced nursing care for patients with psychiatric disorders
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes
  • Implement and evaluate care utilizing knowledge of pharmacology, psychiatric and physical disorders, and cultural needs of the individual psychiatric patient
  • Displays the ability to plan, implement and evaluate care
  • Experience/Ability to delegate, supervise, evaluate nursing processes to help solve complex problems
Requirements:
  • Current and in good standing Registered Nurse license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or license eligible
  • Valid driver's license is required and must remain valid and in good standing throughout employment
  • Experience working as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric, healthcare facility, acute care, long-term or correctional setting
