About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse II to join our team at the Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute. As a Registered Nurse II, you will play a critical role in providing advanced nursing care for patients with psychiatric disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders
  • Implement the use of Seclusion/Restraints in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address patients' physical and emotional needs
Requirements
  • Current and in good standing Registered Nurse license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or license eligible
  • Experience working as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric or healthcare facility
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
