Culinary Operations Manager

Position Overview:
The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions within the kitchen, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year experience in kitchen maintenance, operations, or a related field, including supervisory experience.
- Preferred knowledge of food and beverage service operations.
- Compliance with necessary certification requirements, including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
- Familiarity with all relevant hospitality policies and terminology.
- Possession or ability to obtain Food Manager Certification (as required by state).
Core Responsibilities:
- Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Manage and analyze costs, breakage, and quality support for various outlets, assisting the Executive Chef in maintaining culinary supplies.
- Oversee the condition and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and areas.
- Monitor cooking procedures, safety protocols, inventory levels, and budget adherence.
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual stewarding operating budget, aligning with the Food & Beverage Department's objectives.
- Educate team members on current safety regulations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Report any hazardous situations, emergencies, or security threats affecting guests, employees, or hotel assets.
- Establish minimum and maximum stock levels, controlling par stocks of all materials and equipment.
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate the Stewarding department's performance.
- Ensure all kitchen staff fulfill their roles effectively.
- Maintain the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness across all facilities and equipment.
- Ensure proper handling of all cleaning chemicals.
- Participate in meetings as required.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed, which may include food preparation and setup.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other departments.
