Dogtopia of Southlake, a leading provider of dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and spa services, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Operations Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our operations and ensuring a safe and clean environment for our furry friends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Maintain optimal staffing levels and develop employees to meet the needs of our business.
- Lead by example, coaching team members to contribute to a positive team-oriented culture.
- Manage the completion of all spa services, including baths, nails, ear cleaning, and brushouts.
- Deliver written performance reviews and provide positive written acknowledgement when due.
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Interview, hire, and onboard employees, ensuring each team member receives the necessary training.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for our dogs, maintaining and updating cleaning schedules, and holding team members accountable to Dogtopia's safety and cleaning standards.
- Work closely with the Pet Parent Relationship Manager to complete new dog meet-and-greets.
- Assist with in-store event days.
- Financial and Administrative:
- Manage team members, including quality control of work, safety, schedules, and employee records.
- Maintain controllable expenses within budgetary constraints, forecasting, tracking, and ordering supplies, minimizing payroll, and actively seeking ways to maximize efficiency.
- Communicate concerns or needs proactively and partner with the General Manager to resolve issues.
- Develop team members in upselling and using dog evaluations to grow revenue.

- Operations:
- Maintain and update cleaning schedules, holding team members accountable to Dogtopia's safety and cleaning standards.
- Proactively handle dog incidents, communicate with pet parents, owners, and HQ, and document and follow up as necessary.
- Monitor dogs proactively with ongoing behavior issues and maintain action plans to retain those with minor issues.
- Ensure operations meet Dogtopia standards for dog safety and cleanliness.
- Be responsible for opening and closing the store.
- Customer Service and Presentation:
- Maintain a neat and organized environment at all times.
- Set the example for team members and hold them accountable to internal and external customer service standards.
- Keep team members engaged in their duties.
- Strive for high customer service ratings.

This is a key leadership position that requires a strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
