Job Title: Naval Architect

Life Cycle Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support for our projects.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in naval architecture and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and support for projects
  • Supervise resources and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Naval Architecture or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited school
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience working with US Naval vessels
  • Detailed experience with ship's stability and docking
  • Strong knowledge of NAVSEA S9086-C6-STM-010 - Weights and Stability and NAVSEA Technical Publication, Design Practices and Criteria for U.S. Navy Surface Ship Stability and Reserve Buoyancy T9070-AF-DPC-010/079-1
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years as a Certified Docking Observer (NAVSEA Dry Dock Safety Certification Program)
Physical Demands and Expectations:

The successful candidate will be required to regularly perform physical activities such as walking, climbing stairs, and standing. They will also be required to maneuver around tight spaces in a shipboard environment.
