Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC). As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site investigations and inspections to identify potential fire hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to design and implement fire protection systems that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on fire safety and protection procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest fire protection technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as fire protection engineering or a related field.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in fire protection engineering or a related field.
  • Must have a strong understanding of fire safety and protection principles and practices.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
