We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team at Life Cycle Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical guidance and support for our projects, ensuring the safe and efficient design and maintenance of naval vessels.
Key Responsibilities- Generate production information for ship structure, hull machinery, and equipment installation.
- Perform naval architecture calculations, including stability and hydrostatic analysis.
- Develop Turnover Books for maintenance availability.
- Conduct ship inspections and checks as required.
- Assist in resolving technical compliance issues.
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Naval Architecture or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working with US Naval vessels.
- Detailed experience in ship stability and docking.
- Knowledge of NAVSEA S9086-C6-STM-010 and NAVSEA Technical Publication T9070-AF-DPC-010/079-1.
- Fundamental understanding of Naval Architecture and practical experience in Stability and Weights.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Certified Docking Observer.
- Regular physical activity, including walking, climbing stairs, and standing.
- Ability to maneuver in tight spaces and use office equipment.
