  • Quality Control: Inspect, regularly, all fixtures, fittings, and appliances to ensure compliance with standards and take action as necessary to conform to standard.
  • Team Performance and Development: Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Housekeeping/Laundry Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Ensure staffing levels cover business demands and manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Ensure ongoing training and development of the Housekeeping/Laundry team.
  • Communication Meetings: Conduct and facilitate communication meetings and generate post-meeting minutes.
  • Recruitment and Management: Recruit, manage, train, and develop the Housekeeping/Laundry team.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Be a Brand Ambassador of A&R's Culture, Mission, and Values.
  • Guest Service: Ensure all guests are treated in an efficient and courteous manner and that all Company standards are applied.
Requirements
  • Housekeeping/laundry experience: Proven experience in housekeeping or laundry operations in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Leadership and Management: Successful track record of managing a large team and leading by example.
  • Education and Qualifications: High school certificate or equivalent and relevant qualifications in hospitality or a related field.
  • Commercial Awareness and Cost Control: High level of commercial awareness and cost control capabilities.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Committed to delivering high levels of customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Grooming Standards: Excellent grooming standards and ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong organizational, budget management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and external partners.
  • Guest Service: Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
