About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Division of Community Engagement in the Provost's Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Vice President of Community Partnerships and other community engagement leadership team members.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the division by assisting with various administrative tasks and ensuring effective communication and coordination within the team.
  • Manage the administrative logistics associated with community engagement initiatives involving students, faculty, and community partners.
  • Organize events, coordinate meetings, and handle communication related to these initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 0-3 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google/Gmail.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Great interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
