LHH is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Field Engineer to support a client in the AI/Cloud space. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for customers during new product enablement, responsible for delivering cutting-edge hyperscale compute solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical enablement and change requests for all aspects of customer offerings, including systems management, hardware, software, firmware, component integration, debugging, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer needs or issues during new product introductions.
  • Deliver long-term hyperscale server technology solutions based on technical and business requirements of the customer.
  • Drive internal and external integration of system-level engineering and support for successful execution during new product introduction phases.
  • Develop long-term technical relationships with the core technology ecosystem, creating a technical interface that showcases the value of engineering and support, and drives requirements into next-generation designs.
  • Collaborate directly with customers on integration and deployment of new server hardware, including configuration of BIOS, PXE, UBoot, IPMI, and RAID, etc.
  • Determine solutions to performance/operational problems and deliver business value.

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge of server architecture, system-level design engineering, and understanding of shared infrastructure management.
  • Experience with new product development life cycles and driving cross-functional development efforts from concept to planning to development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, setting priorities and managing to commit schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to create detailed architecture specifications and drive business cases for new products and features.
  • Strong understanding of network/server technologies and the challenges associated with delivering networked/server-based applications.
  • Working knowledge of server operating systems, including Windows, Citrix, Mac, UNIX, AS/400, Mainframe, and mid-range systems. Certifications are preferred.
  • Server Virtualization Solutions (VMware, Citrix, or Microsoft). Knowledge of software driver implementation, IP schemas, and network protocols.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, preferred Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in server or a related industry.
