Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Field Engineering will take charge of a team responsible for executing new product introductions (NPI) for key clients. This position involves nurturing customer relationships, establishing and fulfilling commitments, and closely collaborating with engineering teams to define objectives, prioritize tasks, and achieve outcomes. The primary aim of the Senior Manager is to ensure exceptional execution of NPIs that exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the principal representative for the field engineering division concerning NPI activities associated with the assigned customer.
  • Continuously develop and lead a team of engineers focused on successful NPI delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, design, and program management, to effectively execute NPI initiatives for the customer.
  • Identify and implement the most efficient and cost-effective business practices for process execution; regularly assess their effectiveness and suitability.
  • Utilize independent judgment in planning and organizing tasks; monitor team performance and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Address complex challenges and issues effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards among team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an advanced degree with equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience managing NPI integrations within a computer hardware context.
  • Innovative leader with exceptional analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical abilities to build trust and influence stakeholders and teams.
  • Familiarity with the server hardware development process and lifecycle.
  • Capability to navigate high-pressure situations with resilience and professionalism.
  • Proven track record of fostering positive and productive relationships with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Practical experience in computer hardware and/or technical support.
