Piper Companies is seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist and Environmental Monitoring Specialist to join our team at a contract manufacturing biotech facility.

Shift Flexibility:

We are looking for individuals who are flexible to support Tues-Sat OR Sun-Wed shifts, with a schedule of 4PM-2AM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Environmental Monitoring (Air Viable, Total Air Particulate, Surface Viable) to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform Clean Utility Monitoring (Water Sampling, Bioburden, Conductivity, TOC, Coliform and Nitrates) to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Monitor Compressed Gas (Collection, Air Viable, Total Air Particulate, Dragger Tests and specific ID tests) to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct Product Testing (Bioburden, Endotoxin, Host Purity, or Non-Host) to ensure product safety.
  • Provide laboratory support to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry or related field.
  • 1-2 years hands-on experience with microbiological testing and/or environmental monitoring preferred.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $25-35/hour, based on previous salary history and experience.
