Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our Culinary Services Team at our Interim Housing site in Los Angeles. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support culinary staff, including scheduling, workload assignments, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate kitchen activities, including meal planning, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Develop and implement menu plans, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to achieve kitchen goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in culinary services, including supervisory experience.
  • Current Managerial Food Handling certificate.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
