We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer for Technical Solutions to join our Drilling Specialties division. This role involves managing key accounts primarily within the North American market. The ideal candidate should be prepared for a position that requires travel across the region, with relocation assistance available if necessary. The office for this role is based in Drilling Specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a regional marketing strategy that adapts to the dynamic nature of the industry.
  • Devise effective strategies to achieve sales objectives and targets with key accounts.
  • Provide technical support to external clients and oversee local warehouse operations.
  • Enhance the existing product line by driving growth initiatives.
  • Facilitate the launch of new products, services, and applications, including engineering drilling fluid programs.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local service providers, operators, and consultants.
  • Deliver weekly market intelligence reports to management.
  • Manage personal travel expenditures and utilize internal resources efficiently.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in technical sales or operations within the oil and gas sector.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience with drilling fluids, cementing, and completion fluids.
  • Ability to design and engineer drilling fluid programs, troubleshoot down-hole issues, and possess strong knowledge of drilling operations, clay chemistry, hydraulics, and cementing processes.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills with a proven ability to lead or facilitate teams to achieve business and technical goals.
  • Self-motivated individual with a background in sales.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and business partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical and non-technical information effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related technical field.
